The play is set in Kurves, Texas and takes place early one morning when a group of misfits get locked inside a woman&#39;s gym. Despite failed attempts to find happiness they finally succeed&#45;but in unexpected ways.
 
Amy Shojai and Frank Steele began writing KURVES in October 2010 because as performers they wanted to challenge themselves with new material. The idea was to create a script that featured fun characters with depth that also could be performed by high school, college, church or community theater groups.

					<![CDATA[SHERMAN, TEXAS&#45;Austin College will hold an "e-waste" recycling event open to the public on Saturday, February 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, at 1318 East Pacific Street (the old Sherman Wire building, approximately two blocks south of Austin College&#39;s Apple Stadium). A recycling truck in the parking lot will accept unwanted electrical equipment and materials for recycling. All members of the community are welcome to drop off electronic items.  

The recycling is free, except for more than two-per-car CRT monitors and/or non-flat-screen TVs, which will have a disposal fee of $7 each for the CRT monitors and $15 each for TVs. The first two of each may be recycled at no charge. These items contain hazardous materials and are a breakage hazard so require special handling to remove toxins before other materials in the items can be recycled.

This year&#39;s ornament was unveiled by Julie Straus, wife of the House Speaker, and John Sneed, the executive director of the State Preservation Board.   The 2011 ornament features the ornate chandeliers that hang in the legislative chambers of the Texas Senate and House of Representatives. The ornament is finished in 24k gold. The World Health Organization established world AIDS Day, observed every December 1, in 1988. 					<![CDATA[On Friday evening, December 2, the Sherman Community Players (SCP) will open the Texas holiday comedy CHRISTMAS BELLES by playwrights Hope, Jones and Wooten. The play is a sequel to DEARLY BELOVED which the Players performed last February and was an immediate success, playing to lots of laughter and sold out crowds.

In DEARLY BELOVED, audiences were introduced to the three Futrelle sisters of Fayro, Texas &#45; Twink, Frankie and Honey Raye. In that play, Twink was desperate to marry her fiance of ten years, and it looked like she was finally going to nab him. On Friday, December 2, the Austin College Department of Music continues the sounds of the season with a Holiday Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m. in Wynne Chapel. Both events are free and open to the public. 

The Service of Lessons and Carols will include Hebrew and Christian scriptures, carols, anthems, a candle-lighting ceremony, and presentations by the Austin College Chorale and the Consort. College Chaplain John Williams will officiate at the service. A number of other students, staff, and faculty will participate in the readings, including sophomore Annalise Kean of Arlington, Texas; senior Danielle Matise of Plano, Texas; and Brent Butler of Aramark Services.
