<![CDATA[The Friends of Hagerman NWR has chosen not one but five people as Photographers of the Month for November. The five members of the Earley family of Plano will have an album of twelve photographs taken at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge featured on the Friends website during November. The web address is www.friendsofhagerman.com.
The Earley family began photography as a family hobby 3 years ago. The kids, Jimmy, age 14, Mariam, 12, and Joshua, 8, have a great time snapping birds and anything else they can find with their own Canon point-and-shoots. Mother, Dianne, started photography as a child herself, with a Kodak Instamatic, went on to 35 mm in college and now uses Nikon D200 and Nikon D50. Husband Mark uses Dianne's camera also.
On their frequent visits to Hagerman, the Earleys each shoot whatever is on their side of the car and may have a tug of war over who uses which camera. Jimmy enjoys photographing birds and landscapes, Mariam is a natural at composing, and ]]>

Who is the most qualified expert on surviving and recovering from stroke The answer is a person who has survived and recovered from a stroke! Texomans who know this reality in powerfully personal ways have joined to share their expertise with each other and with those to whom life after stroke is a new experience.

Stroke is sometimes referred to as a brain attack because it affects the brain in much the same way a heart attack affects the heart. Every stroke is different and is largely dependent upon the area of the brain affected and the length of time that area was without oxygen.

There are two types of strokes. Transient Ischemic Attack, or TIA as it is often called, is when a blood clot clogs an artery for a short period. This is sometimes called a warning stroke. The symptoms are much like a major stroke; however, they last for a shorter period. A hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel ruptures and bleeds deep in the brain o]]>

<![CDATA[ It has been about a month since my last report, so here goes. Lake Texoma elevation is 616.22 with a water surface temperature of 68 degrees. Striper fishing has been good to excellent. We are fishing live bait (thread fin shad) mainly while on anchor as long as the stripers will stay. Some days I have dropped the anchor only to the stripers blow thruough, taking every bait we have down and never come back. So, I am chasing them down and laying alot of anchors. Drifting is working about the same, nothing for awhile then every rod in the boat being hammered. The toughest part of fishing right now is finding bait. Gizzard shad are plentiful but the fish are finicky and prefer the bigger Threadfins.

Alot of the stripers are on all the flats in the 30 inch and smaller. With the cooler waster temperature we should see some larger which should continue to get better through November. The topwater bite dropped off the end of September but has picked up the past week or so in the early]]>
