It was a pleasure meeting so many people at the Dallas Boat Show but I?m glad to be back on the water fishing again. Falling water temperatures, due to the recent snow fall on Lake Texoma, has sent the bait into deep water in the river channels making it impossible to catch. The last couple of weeks have been slow for me. I haven?t been able to bring home a good box of fish since the last artic blast blew through, with humbling totals of 10 fish or less on the few trips that have decided to fish. Thankfully on Saturday, with temperatures not rising above freezing, I was blessed with some feeding fish to give me a decent box of fish.

Its Christmas time again here on Lake Texoma and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We have been enjoying some very beautiful weather and some great fishing here on the big lake the last few days. The striper fishing remains good. We?re still catching lots of fish on every trip with the occasional big fish thrown in the mix. The fish are getting set into their winter patterns . . .

The water temperature of Lake Texoma is 49-54 degrees. The Lake Texoma elevation is 617.80 ft above sea level.

With the Texoma area temperatures the last couple of days being extremely cooler, the Lake Texoma striper fishing is now at its best. Large numbers of stripers are being caught daily. Live bait fishing has been solid in 30-60 ft of water while on anchor and even while drifting fishing thru the working seagulls. Gizzard shad . . .
