Local DAR Chapter Helps Veteran of WWII by Preston Trail NSDAR
Local WWII U.S. Army veteran, Dillard D. Graham of Sherman is the first recipient of financial assistance from Opening Doors for Disabled Veterans. Opening Doors is an assistance program offered by Preston Trail NSDAR to all disabled veterans in Grayson County. The program is designed to assist veterans with widening interior doorways to an accessible width of 36” allowing for a wheelchair or walker. Preston Trail NSDAR Participates in Local Fundraiser by Preston Trail NSDAR
The Annual Boot Scootin’ Ball was held at Cal Barker’s Bar–K-R Ranch in Pottsboro, Texas on October 4, 2014. Preston Trail DAR was represented by Planning and Preparation Chair Jennita Wingate, Silent Auction Chair Sara Park and Silent Auction Volunteer Lisa Lettie.

Preston Trail DAR is dedicated to its local community and the safety of its citizens. The daughters volunteered well over 1,000 hours towards this event.

Earth Day Festival Offers Array of Recycling Opportunities by Earth Day Festival
Recycling opportunities—everything from computers to baseball caps to styrofoam to expired prescription medicine—abound at this year’s Earth Day Texoma Festival, which takes place April 26, 8:30-5:00 p.m., at the Sherman Municipal Grounds, 405 N. Rusk in Sherman.
