Preston Trail DAR October Meeting by Preston Trail NSDAR
The Preston Trail Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will meet at 6:00pm Thursday, October 16th at Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro. Regent Lisa Lettie will conduct the session. Catered dinner begins at 5:00pm with a cost of $10.

Nancy Ross of Allen Texas will give a lively presentation of “Paul Revere and His Wives”

Local DAR Chapter Helps Veteran of WWII by Preston Trail NSDAR
Local WWII U.S. Army veteran, Dillard D. Graham of Sherman is the first recipient of financial assistance from Opening Doors for Disabled Veterans. Opening Doors is an assistance program offered by Preston Trail NSDAR to all disabled veterans in Grayson County. The program is designed to assist veterans with widening interior doorways to an accessible width of 36” allowing for a wheelchair or walker. Preston Trail DAR holds American History Essay Contest by Preston Trail NSDAR
The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution announces its annual American History Essay Contest to celebrate America’s history. All fifth- through eighth-grade students in public, private, and parochial schools or those who are home-schooled are eligible to participate. Students may also independently submit essays directly to the judging committee.
