A Caregiver Support Group for those caring for someone with Alzheimer's or other dementias is held the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Behavioral Health Center in Sherman. The group, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association, provides an opportunity for Caregivers to share with each other, learn more about the disease process, and have the support of others who are also providing care to a loved one.

Seven Alzheimer's Support Groups Meet in Texoma by Alzheimer's Association - Cooke, Fannin, Grayson Counties
Living with Alzheimer's means coping with change, uncertainty and surprises every day. Sometimes those changes and surprises are wonderful, other times they mean even more stress for the caregiver. Because caring for someone with dementia is less difficult when the concerns are shared, the Alzheimer's Association sponsors seven support groups in the Texoma area. Health care professionals who have been specially trained by the Association facilitate the groups.
