Texas Department of Transportation officials met Tuesday, May 29, 2012 with representatives of R. K. Hall, LLC of Paris, Texas in a pre-construction meeting devoted to traffic safety and construction procedures to be used during the resurfacing of SH 91 from US 75 in Sherman to SPUR 503 in Denison.
The work to be done will consist of milling the existing hot mix, repair flexible pavement at specified locations, and apply a one course surface treatment, followed by hot mix asphaltic concrete overlay and pavement markings.
The Contractor has been granted 48 working days to complete the $2,685,392.03 project. The Contractor began work on Friday, September 14th. Work is anticipated to be complete by October, 2012.
Work will require one-lane closures for various periods of time. The traveling public is requested to observe signs, barricades, and flaggers, to approach work zones cautiously with reduced speed, and obey construction advisories.
