Free Brain Health Workshop Offered in Muenster Tuesday October 28

Have you ever wondered if there are ways to maintain your brain health? The answer is YES and even better, an upcoming workshop in Muenster, TX will teach you how! Tuesday, October 28, 2008 the Alzheimer's Association - Greater Dallas Chapter will present Maintain Your Brain at the Muenster SNAP Center, 730 North Main in Muenster. This one-hour workshop, which begins at 11 am, is free as a service to the community.

Family Services Manager for Cooke, Fannin and Grayson counties, Dianna Niemann-Harris said, "I am really excited to bring Maintain Your Brain to Muenster! This workshop is a great way to learn how to keeps our brains healthy and potentially decrease the likelihood of developing dementia."
The one-hour interactive workshop will feature nutritional and lifestyle advice, strategies to keep your memory sharp, interactive exercises and activities, and materials to take home for further reading. The workshop will introduce attendees, particularly baby boomers, to scientifically rooted advice on brain health based on strong lifestyle choices, including:
- Staying sharp with challenging mental activities
- Engaging in social interactions
- Adopting a brain-healthy diet
- Remaining physically active
