SHERMAN, TEXAS-The Austin College 2013 Will Mann Richardson Lecture will feature attorney, writer, and commentator Will Cain, on Thursday, February 7, at 11 a.m. in Hoxie Thompson Auditorium of Sherman Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

In his campus presentation, "If I Just Had a Little Humility, I'd Be Perfect," Cain said he will offer his viewpoint that the political debate in the United States is not about left and right, but about conceit and humility. "These two forces drive American debate and policy on everything from economics and climate change to the War on Terror," Cain said. "Conceit and humility explain why we believe what we believe."

Originally from Sherman, Cain is a contributor to CNN and The Blaze TV. He has been a regular on CNN's Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien as well as CNN's In the Arena with Eliot Spitzer. He is a co-host of Real News from The Blaze and a columnist for TheBlaze.com. Cain was a contributor to National Review and has appeared frequently on MSNBC, Fox News, and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher. He is a frequent guest on Fox News programs such as Hannity, Fox and Friends, Red Eye, Alan Colmes Show, FoxNews.com Strategy Room, and more.

Prior to his work in television, Cain financed, bought, and sold two digital and print media companies. His work with Quince Media, a Hispanic media company, garnered him the accolade of "40 Most Influential People in the Magazine Industry" by Folio in 2007. He also acquired and grew Cain Communications, a community newspaper group publishing newspapers and websites in four communities outside Dallas, Texas. Before selling that to Stephens Media, he was named one of "20 Under 40" by the Texas Press Association.

Cain attended University of Texas Law School and Pepperdine University. He is a licensed attorney in Texas.
